Paul Hammersmith, prolific 19th-20th century etcher,  born 1857 in Naperville Illinois, died 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This site is intended to show the collectors of his work the complete works and give those who appreciate his talent an opportunity to collect more etchings.

You will find his biography and descriptions of works according to various themes and places: sailboats and fishing; street scenes, sailboats, landscapes and the Cuba series.; bibliography of articles and publications, and museum holdings.
